As part of our Young Achievers programme we are pleased to be partnering with NESSie (https://nessieined.com/) to run a pilot group, weekly in the summer term for 11 to 16 year olds with Down Syndrome. NESSie provides arts therapies and counselling to support the positive mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people. The CAT (Creative Arts Therapy) Group will be run by an experienced Music Therapist and an Integrated Arts Counsellor. They will work with the children to develop a tailored group providing them with the opportunity to to express themselves creatively, build social skills and emotional self-regulation. We hope that the children will also have fun in the process!
